At Accent Cellars, Katie brings a vibrant creative energy rooted in her experience as a former middle school art teacher:

Middle school is such a great age for teaching art because that’s when many kids begin to really embrace their creativity and explore what Art has to offer. Many people simply don’t get the opportunity to explore like that as they grow up and feel self conscious trying something new. I love giving people the opportunity to tap into that inner child and have fun again through art!

In the welcoming studio space onsite, Katie channels her passion for teaching into engaging art classes that ignite imagination and creativity in patrons of all ages. Her warm, approachable style makes everyone feel at ease, whether they're picking up a paintbrush for the first time or refining their artistic skills. Just as her husband Tristan and brother Tyler craft bold, expressive flavors in their house-made wines, Katie cultivates artistic expression. When she’s not guiding patrons through new and fun ways of creating, Katie serves as Accent Cellars’ Creative Director—bringing her artistic vision to Accent Cellar’s brilliant interior and label design. You can also see her own creative works of varying mediums displayed throughout the tasting room and patio. Each piece showcases how Katie is moved by nature, song lyrics, or the beauty of emotions.
