Dahlonega Arts & Wine Festival 2025: A Celebration of Art, Wine, and Community

Sarah Clark and Cynthia Clark were two of the many volunteers representing the DAA at the 2025 Dahlonega Arts & Wine festival

Downtown Dahlonega came alive the weekend of May 17–18 for the 2025 Dahlonega Arts & Wine Festival, hosted by Chestatee Artists. With charming streets filled with art, music, and the aromas of fine wine and festival fare, this annual event once again delivered a vibrant showcase of creativity and culture.

Among the many highlights of the weekend was the presence of the Dahlonega Arts Alliance, proud Silver-level sponsors of the festival. DAA volunteers hosted an engaging booth, where visitors could learn more about the organization’s mission to support and promote the arts in the Dahlonega area. The booth served as a welcoming hub for festivalgoers interested in arts advocacy, community programming, and upcoming events like the DAA’s Summer Art in the Park.

A talented group of DAA-affiliated artists showcased their work in the festival as participants, offering a stunning variety of styles and mediums:

  • Betty Johnson of The Royal Fleecery

  • Lily Payne of Lily Payne Art

  • Evie Somogyi Kitchens of Simply Affinity

  • Maria Brana of Natural Art Passions

  • Patty Becker of Designs by Becker

  • Deanne Freeman of Etowah River Pottery

  • Brenda Steele of Brenda Steele Jewelry

  • April Brown of The Pot Shoppe

  • Tracy Wimpy of Cane Creek Jewelry

The success of the DAA booth wouldn’t have been possible without the support of dedicated volunteers, who generously gave their time to greet guests, share information, and represent the Alliance with enthusiasm and warmth. Special thanks go to Cynthia Clark, Sarah Clark, Diane Egan, Holly Verhasselt, Fin McNeil, Sue Snyder, and Meagan & Bryan Garris for their invaluable help throughout the weekend.

The 2025 Dahlonega Arts & Wine Festival was a true celebration of artistic spirit and community collaboration. The Dahlonega Arts Alliance was honored to be part of such an inspiring event and looks forward to continuing its mission of enriching lives through the arts in the year ahead.
