DAA Art Pop Art Market Brings Creativity and Community to Accent Cellars

On Saturday, May 2nd, the Dahlonega Arts Alliance hosted the vibrant DAA Art Pop Art Market at Accent Cellars Urban Winery, bringing together local artists, wine lovers, and supporters of the arts for a lively weekend celebration of creativity and community.

Visitors enjoyed shopping from a diverse lineup of talented regional artists and makers, including Martin’s Pottery, Gold Ridge Beads, KJS Designs Resin Crafts, Vagabond's Crafts Quilting, Bryan Garris Photography, Daisy Mae Jewelry Co, Dulcimer's House Quilting, Simple Solstice Farms, Glass Yourself Stained Glass, The Soulful Store Ceramics, and Judy Linn Printmaking. From handcrafted pottery and stained glass to fine art photography, quilting, jewelry, and artisan goods, the market offered something special for everyone who attended.

The festivities continued on Sunday as participating artists returned for a private fundraiser hosted for Accent Cellars Wine Club members. Guests enjoyed a delicious low country boil lunch while connecting one-on-one with artists throughout the event. Members also participated in a fun passport activity, collecting stamps from each artist in order to earn tickets toward prize drawings featuring generously donated artwork and handmade items from the participating vendors.

During the fundraiser, DAA Chair Meagan Garris spoke with Wine Club members about the importance of supporting local arts initiatives and shared information about the organization’s upcoming Summer Art Kits program. Launching soon through the Lumpkin County Library, the free kits are designed to provide creative opportunities and hands-on art experiences for children and families throughout the community during the summer months.

The weekend served as another wonderful example of how partnerships between local businesses, artists, and community supporters continue to strengthen and grow the arts in Dahlonega. DAA extends sincere thanks to Accent Cellars Urban Winery, the participating artists, and all attendees and donors who helped make the Art Pop Art Market and fundraiser such a success.
