Summer Art in the Park Brings Creativity and Community to Hancock Park

On Saturday, June 6, the Dahlonega Arts Alliance welcomed artists, musicians, and community members to Hancock Park for another wonderful Summer Art in the Park. Despite the early summer heat, the park was filled with creativity, live music, and the joyful spirit that makes these markets a favorite tradition in downtown Dahlonega.

More than three dozen artists and makers transformed the park into an open-air gallery featuring fine art, pottery, jewelry, woodwork, soaps, candles, textiles, and handmade treasures of every kind. Visitors had the opportunity to meet talented creators including Mary Jane Capps, BIRDMAN, Dulcimer's House, The Lazy Homesteader LLC, Jeffree Lerner, Daisy Mae Jewelry Co, With Grace Art Studio, Catherine Blue Designs, Dillydo and You, Pottery to Di For, Rae-Lynne Swigart, Georgia Moon Soap and Candle Company, Gold Ridge Beads, WiredGemMama, Watercolors by Sabrina, Crazy Mule Woodturners, Papas Trinkets, Birdbrains, Stitchintwins, Martin's Pottery LLC, Deopottery, Edie Allen Design Studio, Lucid Moon Studio, Squirrely Hippie Chick, The Beaded Fable, Simply Affinity, Luca's Art, Lauren Gaines Fine Art, Amelia Taylor Art and Design, Creativa Collection, McPherson Craft and Clay, the green moth, Charline Davis, Serendipity Sellers, Made by Pat, 9 Banded Creative, and Adventure Crew.

Throughout the day, live performances added to the festive atmosphere. Attendees enjoyed music from The Young Rockets, Judy Linn, Katy J, and the Mushroom Herders, whose performances provided the perfect soundtrack for a leisurely stroll through the market.

Summer Art in the Park continues to showcase the incredible depth of artistic talent found throughout North Georgia while creating opportunities for artists and the community to connect. From discovering a new favorite artist to enjoying an afternoon of music under the trees, the event once again demonstrated the power of the arts to bring people together.

The Dahlonega Arts Alliance extends its heartfelt thanks to all of the participating artists, musicians, volunteers, and community members who made this year's Summer Art in the Park such a success. We look forward to seeing everyone again at future Dahlonega Arts Alliance events as we continue celebrating creativity in our community.
