DAA Volunteers Join in the Halloween Fun at “Scares on the Square”

Halloween night in Dahlonega brought out plenty of ghosts, goblins, and giggles as the community gathered downtown for the City of Dahlonega’s annual “Scares on the Square” trick-or-treating event. The Dahlonega Arts Alliance was proud to take part again this year—adding a creative touch and helping make the night extra special for local families.
DAA volunteers helped hand out candy, greet families, and spread Halloween cheer to hundreds of excited trick-or-treaters who filled the square in their most imaginative costumes. Events like these remind us how much creativity and community spirit shine through in Dahlonega—not just in the arts, but in the people who make these traditions possible.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to our amazing volunteers who represented DAA with such enthusiasm and kindness: Meagan and Bryan Garris, Holly Verhasselt, Karen Harwood, JJ Graziano and Bart Prato, and Bobby and Janie Garrett. Your time, smiles, and energy helped make “Scares on the Square” a magical night for our community’s youngest artists and dreamers.
The Dahlonega Arts Alliance is grateful to the City of Dahlonega for hosting this beloved annual event and for the opportunity to join in the fun. We look forward to being part of more community celebrations that bring art, joy, and togetherness to the heart of Dahlonega.
